Snupin Santa recs
I know, I know…God knows it's taken me long enough, but here are my recs from Snupin Santa…
The Inverse of Hormesis. Books, snark, reluctant!Severus, and alchemy. Beautifully written and so much fun!
Not All Gifts Come with Bows. Non-magical AU in which Remus is a restauranteur, Severus is a contractors, and Teddy steals the show.
What Happened to Percy. Wonderfully hot, smutty, frequently funny threesome fic in which Percy is in deep, deep denial, and Severus and Remus are more than willing to strip him bare (in every sense).
Magical Magazine: A Snupin Special. The tabloids reveal the truth about Snape and Lupin, in three hysterical sections. My favorite is Tonks' attempt to find the perfect mate for her ex, but I laughed till I was in tears at all three.
Deck the Halls/All I Want for Christmas. Sweet, funny, and very, very hot vignettes about holiday fun at the Snape/Lupin cottage.
An Ecstacy of Fumbling. Not only is this brilliant fan fiction, it's just plain *brilliant*. It's an AU, set post-Great War, and flawlessly captures the anguish of a generation that was destroyed both physically and mentally in the trenches of France and Belgium.
Once Upon A War. This was my gift, and I adore it! Severus and Remus at the Pennsic War, complete with Teddy, battles, Clan Blue Feather, and Mistress Eloise Beekeeper, whom I *swear* I've met at a peerage circle or two.
Ghost in the Machine. Severus is a mecha pilot, Remus is his mechanic, and Voldemort is a madman intent on enslaving a planet. Marvelous sci-fi AU, with a female mecha straight out of Metropolis.
Now is the Solstice of the Year. The Holly King/Oak King myth, beautifully retold.
The Remainder of Their Days. Achingly sad but effective little dystopia as three lonely people attempt to forge something good from the ashes.
Photographs and Crave. Smoking hot fics for two ofghot's illustrations. *Seriously* intense, especially the second one.
The Gryffindor Gambit. Hysterical comedy of errors as Severus goes to increasingly desperate lengths to keep Remus from hooking up with Bill Weasley. You will never see the phrase "I am pregnant!" in quite the same way.
All That's Best of Dark and Light. Severus has a curse that forces him to question his very identity. Remus is determined to break it.
